Russell R. Casper (1940-1991) was a family historian who lived in Midway, Utah. William Wallace Casper was born March 12, 1821 in Bellville, Richland County, Ohio. A convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Casper married Sarah Ann Bean on January 22, 1846 in the Nauvoo, Illinois Temple. In 1846 he enlisted in the Mormon Battalion. Following his discharge from the Mormon Battalion, he returned to Salt Lake City, Utah where he was reunited with his wife...
